As someone who grew up attending local co-op meetings at Jasper County REMC, Kathy has long understood the culture and importance of electric cooperatives. As Wabash Valley Power’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications, she helps with brand development and with creating energy efficiency and green power initiatives, including having a big part in developing the Touchstone Energy brand.
Kathy holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Purdue University and a master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Before coming to Wabash Valley Power, she held various marketing jobs in Indianapolis working for companies including Melvin Simon & Associates, Paul Harris, MSE Corporation, and ATEC Environmental Services. Since her arrival at Wabash Valley in 1995, she’s held several positions in addition to her current one, including manager of marketing and vice president of marketing where she’s also spent time assisting with human resources and economic development.
When Kathy isn’t hard at work for Wabash Valley Power, she’s probably out in her yard planting flowers, cooking, or searching cookbooks for new recipes. And in the summer, you can find her at the Indiana State Fair showing sheep.
